https://www.aperture.akron.oh.us/
A collection of computers and computing services running primary
on the GNU/Linux-based ocelot node, which runs Aperture’s
master DNS, web, e-mail, shell, and file servers.
It initially started as an unnamed home-hosted shell system in 2014 that was powered by a HP laptop. In 2024, it was then moved to real Dell server hardware. For a brief moment in 2025, it was moved to a data center, but quickly went back to the home server for improved reliability, stability, speeds, and costs. Going back to physical at-home hardware greatly benefiting myself and especially Aperture’s users.
Used directly with technologies at the University of Akron College of Business (See “Student Assistant, College of Business, University of Akron” under “Work”)
